      Electricity is caused by the movement of charged particles. The electricity we use to power our technology is made by the movement of small particles called electrons that are negatively charged.

      As AJ said, electricity is the movement of electrons through wires. The flow of electrons is called current; the more electrons, the more current.

    A changing magnetic field generates an electric field, which pushes charged particles like electrons. Moving electrons are electricity. Electricity generators work by spinning massive magnets around coils of wire…or maybe the other way around, I can never remember
