I really enjoyed studying physics at university and didn’t fancy going into the corporate or financial world.

I really enjoyed studying Coronal Mass Ejections for my Masters project, and wanted to continue doing so. I love learning and finding out new things so a PhD seemed like the right next-step for me.

I’ve always loved all things space-related ever since I was young, but never was in the planetary science field until very recently. I never applied for a space related job previously, as my Ph.D. was quite specialised on a different topic. My previous job was coming to an end, and I saw this job advertised. I knew I had to apply, as it would be a a dream come true, and it was at the same place, so I wouldn’t have to move.

I wanted to play with lasers and this company had an opening to do that. Problem solved!
